This is a must for anyone living locally or visiting the area. Yes it is expensive , but the excellence of the tasting menu is worth every penny. The food is inventive , well cooked and well presented. The flavours are fantastic ! Service is friendly but professional. Wines are again on the expensive side but are well chosen and complement the food well. Our favourite courses were the Potato, Caralmalised Shallot and Old Winchester , and the ragstone goats cheese desert. Both of these challenged expectations and delivered something unexpected and memorable.

Quite simply the best food, wines and service I've experienced anywhere, and all in an exquisite setting. Worcestershire is blessed to have such a venue.

Delightful lunch last Saturday, flying solo. Full tasting menu brilliantly realised the local farm to fork, garden to gazpacho ambition. Great welcome and friendly service throughout. Kitchen snacks set the bar; loved the sea bream tartlet. Foraged garlic, potato and shallots was delicious, mopping up with the milk bread! Fantastic fresh natural garden flavours with the scallop and the piggy and purée with hazelnuts and bone gravy was just great! Loved the stuffed bao bun and grains and truffle. Ragstone ice and damson went brilliantly with a glass of Gewürztraminer, as did the honey and apricots. Rounded off perfectly with the rum baba. Great start and will definitely be back”
